ORLANDO, Fla. -- Howie Roseman met with reporters for more than 30 minutes on Monday and discussed a variety of topics -- except DeSean Jackson. The Eagles general manager had little to say about the Pro Bowl receiver and would not comment on the speculation that Jackson will be traded.
"He's still under contract," Roseman said. "For us, until there's anything to report on our players, that's where we are."
Roseman was asked follow-up questions on Jackson, but emphasized his desire to keep conversations private. He said he respects the questions, but noted that he also has a job to do. He would not say whether he's spoken to Jackson, and also evaded a question about whether he considered Jets owner Woody Johnson's remarks on Sunday to be tampering.
"I haven't read all the speculation, all the reports about everything," Roseman said. "I'm trying to keep my head down at this point, enjoy my family a little bit, and I obviously know there's a lot of speculation that's going on, but for us, any conversations we have with teams, about teams, I think it serves well, with the relationships we have them, to keep those conversations private."
