The Eagles announced today that they have signed safety Brandon Robinson, a rookie free agent from Michigan. Robinson was in camp with the Colts but was recently let go. To make room for Robinson, the Eagles released safety Rashad Baker of Camden.

Baker was not at practice yesterday and his locker had no nameplate above the stall, but a team spokesman said he was still on the team. Now he isn't.

Also, the following players were not out on the field for today's practice, a light one in shorts: CB Sheldon Brown (ribs), DE Trent Cole (shoulder), T Jason Peters (quad), T Shawn Andrews (back), G Todd Herremans (foot), LB Omar Gaither (knee) and QB Kevin Kolb (knee).

Back with more.
