The Eagles have promoted safety Jamar Wall and defensive tackle Jeff Owens from their practice squad. The team placed safety Nate Allen on the injured reserve and waived tight end Garrett Mills.
Allen, who has a ruptured patellar tendon, faces a long recovery.
Wall will provide depth behind rookie Kurt Coleman and Colt Anderson at safety. He was a sixth round choice by the Cowboys in 2010 and has played in one NFL game -- with the Texans in the 2010 season opener. He recorded one special teams tackle. Wall, 22, played at Texas Tech has been on the Eagles practice squad for 11 weeks.
Owens adds another option to the defensive line rotation. He was a seventh round pick in April and has spent the entire season on the practice squad.
The Eagles also brought back safety Jamar Adams to the practice squad. He was on the practice squad for one week in September.
