Eagles healthy as can be

For the first time in quite some time, Andy Reid didn't have to update the media on the status of his injured players the Friday before a game. The Eagles are about as healthy as they can be heading into Sunday's showdown at Dallas.

Yes, center Jamaal Jackson is out and that has brought about its own concerns, but Reid doesn't have to worry about any of the players on his active roster being any less than probable for the Cowboys. Quarterback Michael Vick practiced for the second straight day and is ready to go despite a quadriceps bruise. He will be the No. 2 quarterback, Reid said.

"He’s feeling good. He practiced today," Reid said. "We have a couple things in for him. I look forward to getting him back in there and playing.”

There was no reported setback for running back Brian Westbrook. Reid was asked if Westbrook was in the type of shape he was in prior to the two concussions he suffered over a 20-day span in October and November.

“I think he’s back," Reid said. "We’re going to use him, so I think he feels pretty good. ...  I though last week was good work for him, and we'll just add to that this week. I can’t tell you the number but we’ll see what it ends up being.”

Safety Quintin Demps will likely be cleared to play, although the Eagles aren't sure if he'll be the kick returner again. Macho Harris had two fumbles, one of which was lost, on returns last week.

As for the Eagles' offensive line shuffling, Reid said that Nick Cole is ready to start at center. The coach was asked what were the most difficult challenges Cole would face in replacing Jackson.

“It’s playing a new position and who he’s playing against," Reid said, referencing Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff.

Max Jean-Gilles is slated to replace Cole at right tackle.
