The Phillies haven't made it back to the World Series yet, but their quest to repeat has impacted the Eagles' schedule.

With the possibility of an 8:15 p.m. World Series game being played at Citizens Bank Park Nov. 1, the NFL has rescheduled the Eagles' Nov. 1 game against the New York Giants for 1 p.m. The game had been scheduled for 4:15 p.m. and is likely to be the Fox network's premier matchup that day.

A team spokesman said the logistics of the situation forced the decision to be made even though the Phillies must beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series to reach the World Series.

It would be a dream scenario for Philadelphia fans if the Eagles were to beat the Giants in the afternonn, then have the Phillies knock off the New York Yankees at night.

But right now, all we know for sure is that the Eagles are going to play the Giants at 1 p.m. Nov. 1.

Again, no one is telling the real reason the game was changed. It was changed so that Fox could show Grenn Bay-Minnesota and the return of Brett Favre to lambeau Field to a national audience at 4:15.

Last year, the Eagles beat the Falcons at 1pm and then the Rays that night in game 4 of the World Series. It makes sense to move the game or traffic around the sporting complex would be ridiculous.

They probably changed it so Joe Buck can go from the Linc to the CBP. Actually it would have been a logistical nightmare and an unecessary burden to all involved. A good move from the NFL.

If that dream scenario were to happen, it would be too good to be true.

Has nothing to do with the WS- Brett Favre must be shoved down the throats of a national audience- plain and simple.

According to the MLB website Game 4 of the world series is scheduled for November 1 in the National League City. 1) Deinitely would be a parking logistics problem trying to move that many cars in and out of the Sports complex at the same time (Potential of 25,000 cars if Eagles and phillies played back to back) and 2) Fox and Channel 29 are concerned that you do not have a potential of 69,000 people not watching the game if they are still at the stadium. Philly market rated at 3 million household population. Definitely the right call all around for tv and the city. Go Phillies and Eagles
