I don't think Washburn liked Dixon, so that's probably why he got bounced. That probably was well known, which might explain why they couldn't move him.

Maybe Lewis will get them a backup safety?

Colt Anderson was a great special teams player before his injury.

I'm just assuming they are going to trade one of the RB's in the near future. I know they love Brown and Polk, so I would assume Dion Lewis could be the guy that gets traded.

Jdeaver: r u kidding me buddy? did you really just compare how the saints use 4 runningbacks to andy reid style football? is this the same andy reid that has been here for 14 years, who more times then not underutilizes his #1 back, yet you expect the #4 back on an andy reid team to get play? what dream land have you been living in? you been watching too much saints, and not enough eagles! keeping polk and the fullback is utterly useless, and a waste of a roster spot. no need to worry, polk wont be on the roster come week 1. he will either be traded or cut...only way he stays an eagle is they shut him down for the year and make him have surgery on his labrum....i know dixon has underpreformed, but he was the only big body on the team, besides cox, and has played against the run well in the past

I really disappointed they cut the linebacker Rau .. I think that how you spell his name.. He made some very good plays... quick to the ball and a smashmouth attitude on the field

Def should relieve Mathews of his duty for Clayton. Would like to see Brackett kept. That dude outruns the other TE.

people always complaining atogwe is always hurt why should he make the squad I'm glad we kept Polk Dion lewis we can do without brown is a good complement and this kid Polk is a bruiser he should dress on special teams and be the short yardage back he hurt the d-lineman trying to tackle him on the td run lol nice squad not much for surprises lets start the real games and see what we have....

I understand 90 percent of the cuts. Dixon got outplayed by Thornton. Hansen was no longer needed with the drafting of Boykin. Lindley played well in the preseason. But how does Colt Andserson make the team? Was he that good on special teams?

The Eagles need to consider picking up WR Tori Gurley who was just cut from the Packers...Dude is everything MNutt was supposed to be....Big, fast, and good hands. GB was just too deep at the position.

releasing Dixon and keep Thornton…mistake #2
releasing Gilyard and keep Riley….mistake #3
releasing Hanson and Kafka for NO compensation… mistake #4

Keeping Jarret, Cooper and Lewis is a mistake. They're a dime a dozen. Should have kept Hansen, Dixon and Rau.
