Eagles sign WR Brian Hernandez
Jeff McLane, Inquirer Staff Writer
BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The John Gill era is over.
The Eagles signed wide receiver Brian Hernandez, who was last with the Redskins, and released Gill, who the team signed on Monday.
Gill, a defensive tackle, played in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.
The 6-foot-0, 183-pound Hernandez was signed by Washington in May as an undrafted rookie. He was released on July 27.
Hernandez, 28, last played in the UFL.

camp cannon fodder....we better be loing at o-lne tackles and real linebackers....Ryans was horrible...and kind dunlap is NOT the answer...don't blame Michael or Foles or DeSean when Michael goes down.... nuggett
Nuggett, don't be so dismissive of King Dunlap. Dunlap has had many productive games for the Eagles and can hold his own out of that edge against speed rushers. He's not as mobile as we have become accustomed in watching Peters, but Dunlap is a nice insurance policy at Tackle.
Against the Steelers, the entire line was horrible. The pressure that did get to Vick came straight up the middle from a D Tackle over Kelce.
I agree, Ryans was not impressive in the Middle in the least. There are still to many missed tackles, the ball carrier is running up over Eagles tacklers. Dexter
they better keep dixon because the rbs will get to the sorry lbs even quicker!we need some real nfl lbs.the reason guys look so good in camp is because the level of competition is not that high. swgaston49
