Eagles sign DE to replace Te'o-Nesheim
Jeff McLane, Inquirer Staff Writer
The Eagles signed defensive end Maurice Fountain to their practice squad to replace Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, who Tampa Bay signed to their 53-man roster.
The 29-year-old Fountain was last seen at Seahawks' training camp, but was cut before the season. A journeyman, Fountain (6-foot-4, 270 pounds) has played in the Arena League and the UFL. He spent time with the Dolphins during their 2008 camp and later with Seattle in 2010 on their practice squad.
Te'o-Nesheim was drafted by the Eagles in the third round of the 2010 draft. He played in six games as a rookie and recorded one sack. The defensive end was cut before the season, but the Eagles signed him to their practice squad where he stayed all season until the Buccaneers picked him up.

This draft pick and a few other "minor" moves are why we are 4-6. If Reid understood how to draft defensive players, we wouldn't be 4-6. It's the little things that got us here. The big thing was the FA signing of half the line and secondary. But everyone will tell you that FA in the NFL doesn't work when you are trying to fill major gaps... Only the draft does... Hence, why we are 4-6. kwasi2323
WHOOOO HHOOOOOO SUPER BOWL Here we come!!!!!! This guy is all we need to close the deal. Shawnadelphia
all you doubters, don't sell Andy and the accountant short. They already have plans to turn this year's first rounder into six picks in the fifth, sixth and seventh round. Lot's of Coleman's and Fokou's in this draft as well as a bunch of other under-sized guys who can't tackle. coloradoeagle- That's not much of a critique. Coleman has been a pretty good player, especially for a 7th round pick. In fact I'd have no problem with the Teo pick if it had been in the 7th round. The problem was taking him in the 3rd when they probably could have gotten him in the 7th, or signed him as a UDFA.

TO couldn't last here, Te'o couldn't make it here, so I guess Tebow doesn't have a chance here. watsonmr
The motor was running, but no one was behind the wheel...... mish798798
And don't forget back in the 2010 draft we passed over Navarro Bowman, Mike Williams and Aaron Hernandez to get this high motor flop... Cheesy Steak

The eagles draft process reminds me of a joke I heard long ago: A father gives his son a dollar one morning. When the father comes home in the afternoon the son excitedly comes up to him and says "dad look! I turned that dollar you gave me into 10 pennies! I traded the one dollar for 2 quarters, because you said 2 is more than one, and I traded them for 4 dimes because you said 4 is more than 2, traded the dimes for 10 pennies because i know 10 is more than 4!" We have a very similar draft process.....makes you wonder what the mentality of the war room is justatc1
Another wasted pick...thanks Andy.. Ssteve115
