Note: Here on Birds' Eye View, we're going to try to introduce a new daily blog entry that will provide your dose of Eagles stories to read each morning and what to expect from the Eagles coverage that day. For any tips or suggestions, e-mail Zach at zberman@phillynews.com.

If you saw Correll Buckhalter in a coach's outfit at training camp, you weren't mistaken. Buckhalter is now on the second act of his football life, and that includes doing something he never thought he would do:

Last summer, Buckhalter wasn't in an NFL camp for the first time. He was 32. He didn't want to sit at home. Life moves on. He needed to do the same.

Leading up to the final roster cuts, we'll take a look each day at a different position and who will make the cut. Jeff McLane started with the offensive line:

If they can, the Eagles will keep only eight offensive linemen. I think that’s the number because whoever is the backup interior lineman will also be asked to swing at both guard positions and center.

Expect a busy day. The Eagles return to practice at NovaCare Complex this afternoon. Andy Reid will address reporters at 10:45 a.m. Tra Thomas officially retires from the Eagles today and will speak to reporters at 11 a.m. The Eagles practice at 2:10 p.m.
