FROM THE INQUIRER
- Oshiomogho Atogwe is a veteran safety in a young safety corps, but he must show he can stay healthy:
Time and injuries have hampered Atogwe, who is 31 and entering his eighth NFL season. He said he's a better player now than after the 2008 season, when the Rams used the franchise tag to keep him. That might be confidence more than reality, but it is true that Atogwe is a veteran presence who can potentially help the Eagles' inexperienced secondary as long as he's healthy and productive.
- In this notebook, read about how Nick Foles is the No. 2 quarterback:
Foles, who started last week's game in Cleveland in starter Michael Vick's absence, will start again on Thursday against the Jets, with Vick sitting out the preseason finale. Foles is scheduled to play one quarter and Trent Edwards the final three.
