Eagles announce inactives; Dion Lewis active for the first time this season

The Eagles' inactives for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers are quarterback Trent Edwards, wide receiver Riley Cooper, linebacker Akeem Jordan, offensive lineman Steve Vallos, offensive lineman Nate Menkin and defensive end Vinny Curry.

The Eagles' inactives for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers are quarterback Trent Edwards, wide receiver Riley Cooper, linebacker Akeem Jordan, offensive lineman Steve Vallos, offensive lineman Nate Menkin and defensive end Vinny Curry.

A few notes...

- Demetress Bell will start at left tackle over King Dunlap, as expected. Jamar Chaney will start at weak-side linebacker.

- This is Dion Lewis' first game that he's active this season. Polk lost his gameday spot.

- After two games with three quarterbacks active, the Eagles are back to two quarterbacks with Edwards inactivated.

- The Eagles are banking on Dallas Reynolds avoiding an injury. Vallos is their backup center, and with him out, they have no centers on the gameday roster. One of the other linemen would need to bounce inside.

- Riley Cooper is a healthy scratch. The team is easing him back from a broken collarbone.
