The Eagles signed wide receiver B.J. Cunningham on Monday and released tight end Emil Igwenagu.

Cunningham spent the offseason with the Eagles before he was waived/injured on Aug. 1 with a foot injury. The Eagles wanted another wide receiver on the roster, and Cunningham is a former sixth-round pick who spent most of last season the practice squad.

Igwenagu beat Clay Harbor for a roster spot, but he has not yet been active. He remained inactive on Sunday even though James Casey was out.

Igwenagu still has practice squad eligibility, so the Eagles can bring him back if he clears waivers. The team has two wide receivers on the practice squad: Greg Salas and Will Murphy.
