The Eagles will open the playoffs the same way they opened the regular season: hosting the Green Bay Packers at home.
The Packers' victory over the Bears means the Eagles will face the most dangerous of the three possible opponents they could have drawn in the first round. The Buccaneers and Giants were the others in contention, but the Packers grabbed the NFC's sixth seed, beating the Bears, who played their starters throughout the game.
The Eagles, meanwhile, lost to the Cowboys 14-13 in a dull game that featured few Philadelphia regulars. Possibly the most meaningful event was an ankle injury to Max Jean-Gilles. Depending on its severity it could cost the Eagles one of their offensive line starters.
UPDATE: Reid didn't have a specific report on Jean-Gilles after the game. He said "we'll see" when asked about his status for the week. On a more positive injury note, Reid said he expects Michael Vick back at practice this week and Stewart Bradley said he is "confident" he'll be able to play against the Packers.
