Eagles DT Cullen Jenkins unconcerned about hamstring injury

POSTED: Thursday, August 2, 2012, 11:29 AM

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Cullen Jenkins hobbled to Jason Babin's car. Trent Cole sat in the passenger seat. All three are injured. Jenkins suffered a hamstring injury, although he did not voice concern about the injury. Jenkins excepts to return to the field.

"Not too long," Jenkins said. "Probably take it day-by-day."

Without Jenkins, Mike Patterson, Babin and Cole, the Eagles are missing their entire starting defensive line. Jenkins joked that the defensive line meetings could help in the training room.

Similar to Babin and Cole, there is precaution taken with the injury of veterans a this time of the year.

"Obviously, stuff like that, muscle injuries and stuff, you got to take precautions," Jenkins said. "You don't want it turn worse, and especially this time of the year. You can probably take a little more precautious than you would in the regular season."
