There was a Condoleezza Rice sighting in the lobby of the posh St. Regis Hotel this afternoon, but Andy Reid and the other Eagles decision makers managed to make themselves invisible.

Rice, the country's former Secretary of State, arrived at the NFL owners meetings as a guest dinner speaker.

Former Eagles assistant John Harbaugh, now the Baltimore Ravens' coach, did stop to chat to reporters. Harbaugh said his former team is in good draft position with 12 picks and added that they can probably move into the top 10 if they choose to part with their two first-round selections, the 21st and 28th picks overall.

But the most interesting thing about the conversation was Harbaugh's Baltimore Ravens pullover jacket. His official team attire also pointed out that the Ravens play in the AFC South, which would be fine if they weren't a member of the AFC North.

If they could swing that, I would do that in a second if Crabtree was still available. And no more talk about Percy Harvin,Philly 10!!!

I don't think money will have anything to do with it. The Eagles have $40 million in cap room so they are in fine shape. It all comes down to value. How much better is the guy at the 10 spot than what you could get at the 21 spot and still have the other 1st rounder also? If they are enamored with a LT in the Top 10, I could see them trading up but they won't trade up for a WR, dream on. People inaccurately assume that the Eagles have traded down in the past because of money. They have traded down the last few seasons when they felt they could get the guy they wanted later or an equivalent guy plus add an extra draft pick. Reid has also traded up before. Unless they can trade for Jason Peters or Boldin, I think the most likely scenario is that they keep both picks since they can add a solid RB, T and/or WR with their current draft positions in the 1st round.

Don't worry, Harvin will never play in Philly. There are a lot better receivers out there for the taking.

Trade up as much as necessary to get Moreno or Pettigrew.
