DeSean: "hopefully everything will stay the same" for him and Vick in Philadelphia
DeSean Jackson said he hopes "everything will stay the same" with himself and Michael Vick in Philadelphia, but said the two are focused on this week's game.
DeSean: "hopefully everything will stay the same" for him and Vick in Philadelphia

In light of DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick's remarkable connection, Jackson was asked today about the pair's future in Philadelphia.
"We’re looking for them contracts," Jackson said with a laugh. "We know the contracts will come. We're just so focused on playing right now and the better we do, the better it is for both of us."
Vick is in the last year of his deal, while Jackson, a second round draft pick in 2008, has in the past talked about getting a contract that better reflects his status as an elite wide receiver. He has avoided contract talk all season, though.
Jackson and Vick have formed a stellar duo that could fuel the Eagles offensive attack for years, if they stay in Philadelphia.
"Right now it’s looking good, it really can’t get no better than that, but we’ll see how it turns out," Jackson said. "Hopefully everything will stay the same, but who knows how them things will turn out."
Jackson has thrived while playing with Vick. In part, that's because the quarterback's powerful arm lets Jackson take full advantage of his speed.
"In my career there hasn’t been too many quarterbacks that could really get the ball to me without me having to slow down or wait for the ball. He’s one of the few quarterbacks that’s ever put it out there and let me run and go get it, so anytime you have that, it just makes it a lot more easy, especially with my speed," Jackson said.
Maclin is locked up with his rookie deal, 1yard gets his this offseason when the 30% rule is thrown aside, McCoy has his deal, probably get redone in 2 years, Celek is locked up, Peters is locked up, Herremans too, and if you trade KK in the offseason for a #1 draftpick, you shore up that oline and let the offense pile up records (including wins) for the next 3-4 years. Sign Vick! Bleue
I'm hoping that D-Jax can get a satisfactory contract done BEFORE he gets another concussion. I would like to think that if it were not for the CBA impediments for doing so, management would have found a way to sweeten the deal he has currently. Talk about out-performing your contract! TBear
Problem with trading KK--Vick takes a hit and misses 2-3 games over the course of the season. Who is your reliable back-up? I doubt Kafka is that guy,at least for next year. Look around at the state of NFL QBs and tell me who might be available as a veteran back-up that you have any real confidence in. Hanging onto KK for cheap next year night be a good ins. policy. He might not be happy, but so be it. Zee77
Rosenhaus will have JAckson in a Patriots uniform in 2012, when the lockout ends. Dr. Michael
Andy loves DeSean and Vick and they will get their contracts and money. ESPN suggested the Eagles could command a 1st and 3rd rounder for Kolb in a trade. I think thats a bit of a stretch but if they can get a 1st rounder..I make the deal in the off season..We can easily pick up a veteran to back up Vick at QB without trading.. With an extra 1st rounder we can get a stud linebacker and offensive lineman this year in the draft. bradco
There's no way the Eagles let Jackson fly to another team. I expect management to sign him and Vick to long-term deals before the end of the season. There will be no lock-out. There is too much money at stake. On a side note, did you notice that ESPN's Ron Jaworski picks the Giants to win Sunday's game. That's really funny considering the heaps of praise he poured on the Birds Monday night. It really seems like Jaws sometimes deliberately picks against the Eagles in an effort to show his peers that he is not biased. When you hear him talk, however, he can't hide that bias. He should take a cue from Merrill Hoge, who picks the Steelers to win every week no matter what. jimqk

When Vick and Jackson get their contracts, I will still take them both out to lunch. I'll cover the food bill, they cover the tip. McFadden's would love that, right? Lunchboy
Way to man up Dr M. tommy_the_k
NO NO NO contracts that don't include a out for poor performance or not being able to play because of injury------incentive laced only. jwatson- Mike, admitting your an assamaholic is the 1st step towards recovery.

giants hurting at left tackle and Steve Smith out. That alone sets them back big time since we can double Hicks and make the rest of them beat us. Gmen dont have a chance in philly unless they get consistent pressure, also their secondary is getting exposed to lesser talent. Cmon Jaws peteike
Haha nice work faux Doc. Phillies1120

11th step in recovery: accepting the joke's on you. escapedcamden4monterey
Dr Michael: You seem like a pretty good guy. Hang. in there my friend. Change your life and good things will happen. Remember, as my Father told me.....You are who your friends are. Keep the faith. Think Positive thoughts! bossrjc
Have I been punked? bossrjc- Vick is 30yo, give him a cushy 3-4 year deal with millions of course. By the end of the season he'll have major endorsements. And for DeSean, insure those legs for millions and extend his contract at least 6 years. With the strength and youthfulness on this team, we could be looking at Super Bowl contenders and not just once but several appearances. We need something like this in this city.
Eagles should get rid of Vick and use the money they save on the line. Kolb with protection > Vick on the run greenghettos
Bradco, I like your style (err, comment)! My biggest hope is that Vick stays his newly humbled self and Jackson doesn't turn into a diva. Greedy ballers tend to find out the grass isn't always greener. Loves To Comment
Desean and Vick for the next 5-6 years sounds good to me! Make it happen Lurie! chaseFAN
Ok, heres what we gotta do.....Sign Vick and Jackson longterm.....trade kolb for a first round pick.....sign a good veteran qb to backup vick such as Marc Bulger, Aj Feeley...some1 like that....in the draft we need 3 positions....an outside LB, another Corner back, and a right guard....first 2 rounds fill those needs....well be winning for awhile Mattphillies
