DeSean to miss practice with hamstring injury
Jeff McLane, Inquirer Staff Writer
The Eagles are down another receiver.
DeSean Jackson missed Thursday's practice with a hamstring strain, according to the team.
The Eagles wide receiver injured his hamstring during Wednesday's practice and was seen walking around afterward with a large wrap of ice on his left leg. He had no comment after Thursday's practice.
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin did not practice either Wednesday or Thursday because of a hip pointer. He suffered his injury in the season opener at the Browns.
Maclin's and Jackson's status for Sunday's game against the Ravens is uncertain, although Jackson's injury is not believed to be as serious.
The Eagles signed Mardy Gilyard on Tuesday after Maclin's injury. The team is currently thin at receiver with Riley Cooper also out with a broken collarbone. Cooper returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since his injury in late July but was held out Thursday.
If Maclin can't play Sunday, rookie Damaris Johnson could start in his place. The Eagles also have veteran slot receiver Jason Avant as an option, as well as Gilyard.
Cornerback Curtis Marsh was limited with a hamstring injury.

Chill people! Let's play the game first before the crucifying the team...LOL I'm with Logical - Are y'all Eagle fans?
TPZ- I agree that many of these posters are a bit warped, but in my opinion a warped person is part of our Philly world. If you're looking for nice logical, rational fans go to LA. Oh yea, they don't have a team! Philly fans can be a bit warped, cynical, jaded, yet passionate and intelligent (if not lit). Lighten up and have a little fun. We're 1 and 0 (somehow) but it sure wasn't pretty. Our D looked good, but our team had some major self destruction issues led by our leader at QB. My list of pleasant surprises includes DeMeco Ryans, maybe he's not as much of a bust as we thought. Oh and did i mention we can be schizophrenic? Just ask Schmidty. I was there. Very close low scoring game. First time up he struck out. A nice smattering of applause (get-em next time Schmidty! ). Second time up he struck out again, a bit of groaning. Third time up he struck out again, a smattering of boos, lots of groaning. Forth time up. 8th inning, score tied 1-1. He struck out again (4th straight strike out). We all boo'd. You bumb! Open up your eyes! Fifth time up, bottom of 11th. Solo homer. Walk off. Standing ovation. Had to tip his cap. GO PHILLY!!!!

This isn't a 16-0 team. Start who you have and hope the mistakes are limited.
The Ravens D are probably licking their lips looking at the Browns game footage. mwright252- Dynasty baby! Take the Birds and the points. Flacco will need Flacko-jacket.

The Eagles will win. Mac and D Jax will play and make a difference. More balanced offense, and they won't have play down to their competition like they did last week. I'll take a 17-16 win this week. sec719
