DeSean responds to Jaguars kicker

POSTED: Tuesday, November 22, 2011, 1:31 PM

DeSean Jackson responded to Josh Scobee's tweets Sunday night in which the Jaguars kicker called the Eagles wide receivers a "punk" after he was flagged for taunting.

"This man @joshscobee is Waaaaaaay outta LIne!! Stick to ya Own business.. Mind ya own!! I don’t respect what u sayin.. Lil Boi status,” Jackson wrote.

Jackson then followed up with another tweet: “I don’t even know who this guy is."

Apparently. Scobee's Twitter sign-on is @JoshScobee10.

Here's what Scobee initially wrote:

“Desean Jackson is a punk. #growuputinybastard.”

And then, after some readers complained about his first tweet, Scobee wrote:

“Relax people. He’s just a punk, which to me means he doesn’t respect anyone or anything around him. Therefore, I don’t respect him.”

Scobee apologized a day later, writing, "Shouldn’t have called Desean Jackson that, I used the wrong words to try and make my point.”

Eagles tackle Todd Herremans was confused by the apology. "Which 1? Punk, tiny or bastard?" Herremans wrote.

Eagles guard suggested on Twitter that MTV should bring back celebrity death match so Jackson and Scobee can settle their differences.

The Eagles do not play Jacksonville in their final six games.

Bummer.

Way to take the high road, Desean. You prove once again that you are immature, petty and classless. You take that anti-bullying stance, which looks all pr at this point, and then act like an idiot time after time. Try handing the ball to the ref after a touchdown or big play and thanking your offensive line, quarterback or special teams blockers who were a part of your success. instead of pounding your chest and saying "look at me", shut up and play!

How can you dislike Desean Jackson???? The kid is electricfying- one of the biggest threats in the NFL not to mention the fastest.
Yet, the "Older generation" does not like him because of how he acts sometimes, too bad. Joe Namath was was considered a "Punk" by your grandmas and grandpops- now you are the grumpy old men complaining.

Give me Julio Jones,Justin Blackmon,Michael Floyd or the 20 or so other incredibly talented WR's that can run, catch, and block...You can have your electricity, but when the meter runs low (2/3 years?)...then you'll just have an overpriced punk....Mike Wallace,Johnny Knox...DeSean is not the only lightning bolt out there.

I can't believe DeSean got into Cal Berkeley. Not too bright. He's either really dumb or has something psychologically wrong with him.

My favorite punk will still always be Allen Iverson. Desean is getting close though.

Frankly, I couldn't possibly care less what DeSJ puts on twit-ter, face full or any other Weird World Web thing. When he can't control himself on the football field, however, that is a different story. He caused a 52 yard loss Sunday night, which might have ended as the difference between W and L.
I fully understand that all sorts of penalties are called unevenly and more than a little erratically. One part of that is that players with reputations certainly do get more of the same and the various officials do tend to look for those players to try bending the rules the next time--all the time!
Of course DeSJ is merely trying to show off and draw attention to himself, and that seems to be the new order of the world: That is, do something stupid, then blame the other guy!

Crusader...my guess is that 75% of the garbage that's happened on the team this season would not have occurred if BDawk as still on the roster. Jeff / Joe...think that $6M you saved on Dawk over the past 3 years was worth it? Cheap pieces of garbage. Let's see, since Dawk left, we've had to endure Macho Harris, Nate Allen, Quinton Demps, Sean Jones, Jarrod Page, and now Kurt Coleman as our starting free safeties. All the while, Denver has one of the best defenses in the league this season, led by....you guessed it, 38 yr old Brian Dawkins. Hope those nickels feel good in your pocket, Joe.
