Curtis limited in practice

POSTED: Wednesday, September 23, 2009, 4:33 PM

Kevin Curtis was not a full participant in today's Eagles practice. The wide receiver was among several players to be listed on the injury report released after practice. Curtis has a knee injury that has been bothering him over the last few weeks. Apparently, it has gotten worse.

Through two games, Curtis, who had off-season surgery to correct a sports hernia, has five catches for 70 yards.

As reported before, guard Todd Herremans (foot) and Dimitri Patterson (hand) are out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Quarterback Donovan McNabb (rib), running back Brian Westbrook (ankle) and wide receiver DeSean Jackson (groin) did not practice.

Safety Quintin Demps (hamstring) was also only a part-time performer today in practice. Defensive end Victor Abiamiri (groin), linebacker Omar Gaither (neck), guard Max Jean-Gilles (knee), tackle Winston Justice (hamstring), linebacker Joe Mays (shoulder) and cornerback Asante Samuel (neck) were all at practice.

“Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook and DeSean Jackson did not practice.”- Even if you are just reporting the facts, can you not put those 3 names together when giving an injury report? It can cause some serious shock to the system…And what’s with this increasing practice of people posting their messages a multitude of times? Your posts are not gonna make any more sense the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time around. Jeez…

If they weren't so tied to their salary cap, they could've cut Curtis and put Amendola out there.

It's important to note that Joe Mays returned and fully participated at practice.

Reid will play Todd Pinkston before he will play Brown.

Keep Avant in the slot as the 3rd receiver, that's where he excells. keep Reggie Brown on the inactive list, that's where he hurts the team the least. If Curtis isn't 100%, and he hasn't been for years, give Gibson the start as #2 receiver and see what he can do in a real game.
