There will be a number of matchups in Sunday night's showdown between the Eagles and Giants that bear watching, but the one that could draw the most attention is the Trent Cole-Shawn Andrews faceoff.
Of course, Andrews will have to play for that to even happen.
The Giants tackle missed practice again Friday, according to reports out of New York, with a sore back. The former Eagle hasn't practice all week. Andrews had two surgeries on his back while in Philadelphia and was released by the Eagles in March.
The Giants listed Andrews at questionable, although he told New York reporters that he felt better and that "there's still a few days left."
On Wednesday, Cole made light of Andrews missing practice that day, saying, "His back's sore? Tell him I'm practicing over here."
Two days later, the defensive end, who leads the Eagles with seven sacks, took a different approach when a reporter told him that Andrews had missed another day.
"He can do that," Cole said. "He's an athletic player. Shawn's a good player. He can take off all week and still play."
In other news, every Eagles player practiced on Friday. Defensive end Juqua Parker, who missed the previous two days with a hip flexor strain, is listed as questionable for Sunday, as is tackle King Dunlap (knee). Running back LeSean McCoy, who sat out Wednesday's practice with a shoulder sprain, is listed as probable.
Reid would not tip his hat as to who was starting at right guard, but he said that there was a pretty good chance that Nick Cole would start over Max Jean-Gilles.
