Who will win the Super Bowl?
The Patriots
The Giants
Don’t care. The Eagles aren’t playing.
Wouldn’t care even if the Eagles were playing.

FAIRHOPE, Ala. -- In his first public comments since before the end of the season, Juan Castillo would not confirm if he was or wasn't still the Eagles' defensive coordinator.

"You got to go through Andy," Castillo said, deferring to Eagles coach Andy Reid. "I'm just working," he added, explaining his presence at Senior Bowl practices.

Castillo is still a member of the Eagles, although it remains unclear what his role will be next season. Reid has not met with the media since immediately following the season finale against the Redskins on Jan. 1. The Eagles said that he would speak as soon as he was finished evaluating his coaching staff.

His silence makes it seem as if Castillo is still dangling in the wind. The Eagles, according to a few reports, were said to be interested in bringing Steve Spagnuolo back to replace Castillo as the leader of the defense. The team, publicly or privately, have not addressed their supposed interest in the former St. Louis Rams coach.

Spagnuolo agreed to take the defensive coordinator job with the Saints last week, according to various reports. New Orleans has yet to make the hire official. Indications from several leagues sources are that the Eagles had hoped to hire Spagnuolo.

Castillo, though, is still technically the Eagles' defensive coordinator and the general feeling coming from some of the coaching staff is that he will stay in his current position.

"Anytime we can get up in the morning and we're healthy enough to fight, we're all all right," Castillo said when he was asked if he was fine with his seemingly unresolved situation.

Castillo, who was sporting an Eagles shirt and had his Eagles scouting report in his hand, spent the bulk of the South team practice mingling with other coaches and watching the players work out. The bulk of the Eagles' coaching and personnel staffs were here for Senior Bowl practices.

Reid, as expected, did not make the trip. He hasn't attended for the last several years. He does have one coaching vacancy to fill after he fired secondary coach Johnnie Lynn earlier this month. Lynn was here, like many unemployed coaches, networking.

Reid doesn't have to attend at his salery but SHOULD he be there?
SHOULD he stop hiding and talk to the press?
IMO,the answer is obvious and the same but it's Lurie's checkbook.

Reid has said nothing about ANY of the three major coordinators so does that mean that they ALL are "dangling in the wind"?????? Come on, stop playing to your readers and start reporting facts.

Lets not forget Castillo did a solid job against four teams that would not allow there QB to change plays at the line. Hop[efully next year we play the Pats in the Super Bowl because Castillo really out did himself versus Brady. Eagles fans get ready for our own version of Groundhog day movie next season.Week in and week out we will here how the opposing off coordinator called the game of his ;life.

Philly.com's 100th article since the season ended where they concentrate on what Eagles' officials didn't say.

The Eagles' treat the local media like total be-otches and they keep going back for more.

Reid is waiting to see if Marty gets the Oakland job before he decides what Juan will coach this year.

    Dear Angry Birds,

I ask you, what sane, rational pro football coordinator would willingly come to a team with a fan base so willing to eat it’s young? Answer – NONE. Given the choice between New Orleans and Philadiaperville -- Spagnuolo chose happiness.

So we get it - you hate Andy, Juan, Jeffery, rainy days, fat people, homework, chores, and most of all your fifth grade teacher.

    Cue the laugh track!

TOO MUCH ATTENTION IS SHOWN TOWARD THE EAGLES. THEY LOVE TO SEE NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, THE MAJORITY OF THE FANS ARE STILL CONTROLLED. IF THEY GIVE FAT REID AN EXTENSION, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. PEOPLE WIN COMPLAIN, BUT CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE EAGLES TO BRAINWASHED TI FIGURE OUT THERE ARE OTHER CHOICES. SO CONTINUE TO GET BULLIED. YOUR CHOICE.
