Cary Williams, who has missed most of voluntary workouts this spring, will not attend Wednesday's event at the White House in which the Super Bowl champion Ravens are being honored and will be at Eagles minicamp instead, the team said Monday.
The Eagles have a mandatory three-day camp that begins on Tuesday. Williams and Dennis Dixon, a member of the Ravens' practice squad last season, were invited to the White House ceremony but did not plan on attending, according to an Eagles spokesman.
It was unclear if they requested to miss Wednesday's practice and were denied by Eagles coach Chip Kelly. Players that skip mandatory practices can be fined by their respective teams.
A message left with Williams' agent, Harold Lewis, was not immediately returned.
