6 games to go - the Wild Card it out of the picture, the Birds are 3 games back of 2 teams (Chi/Det) and 2 games back of ATL (tie-breaker goes to ATL)

their only chance is to win the division

2 games back of 2 teams in the division - NYG and DAL play each other twice so that guarantees at least 1 W each - so basically 3 games back of one or both with 6 games to play - if one of them wins both that's basically 4 games back - we have to win out and that teams has to go 3-3

    c'mon folks -- its over -

Your logic only makes sense if you assume that those two teams win the rest of their games. Let suppose that they do split as you suggest but New York loses to New Orleans and green Bay then they have 7 losses, at least. If they do split and the Eagles beat the cowboys again. the cowboys would only need to lose one additional game to get ot 7 losses. If both of those teams have 7 losses that means the Eagles would need to win 5 of their last 6 to get to 9-7 and they would hold the tie breaker having the better division record then both teams. Of course this is assuming that the Eagles can win 5 out of 6 which is a big question.

Funny that Young didn't take the hits Vick always does. Stop blaming the line for a QB that holds onto the ball too long.

I guess he was holding the ball too long in the Falons game when he had the team in the lead before leaving the field, or all the other times he had them in the lead and they lost. Had the defense and offense played the entire season the way the did this past Sunday, there is no way they would be 4/6. Vick took the majority (if not all) of those hits because they line didn't give him the protection he needed. Try again.

If the Eagles win out (which is unlikely although they have led in the 4th quarter 9 out of 10 games) they will win the division if the giants lose twice (they play the saints, packers and cowboys twice)and if Dallas loses once besides the Eagles because the eagles would have only one division loss.

Mike Vick should play if he can be effective at or around his normal level. Otherwise, Vince Young should play as long as he holds it together the way he did on Sunday.

@sidewinder7 Vince Young didn't take those hits because the Eagles were running the ball and the Giants were keying on McCoy.

i do agree sidewinder seems like Vick is scrambling the second he receives the hike could be his lack of height and has to scramble to find a hole to throw through idk but VY looked much more poised in the pocket at 6'4 and yes 3 interceptions but one was tipped ball should have been caught and he hasnt started a game in over a year time to get adjusted to speed of the game looked pretty good on that last drive and thats what he seems to do win games 31-16 as starter

As an old Giant Fan who quit them after Archie forced his iddie, biddie boy on them , I can tell you what might help. If they had been lucky enough to face the Patriots when the Giants did the last time , the Eagles would win for sure. Brady and bunch were down that game and for some Reason the Belichick gang couldn't seem to fathom the Giants defense . But after that game the Patriots re-grouped and after last weeks debacle they seemed like their old selves . So it will be tough for the Eagles and whichever Quarterback plays for them. But if the Manning luck finds it's way to the Philly Locker-Room then the Eagles will stand a chance.

CG25 - I HATE Andy, but he actually has done a decent job vs. Belichek. In 2003, the Eagles were beat up after being destroyed by the Bucs in the Linc opener. Dawkins and Taylor were out with injuries and McNabb should have sat with a bad thumb but didn't. Eagles barely lost SB because McNabb threw 3 horrible picks plus another INT that was called back. In 2007 (NE 16-0 year), we were driving in Foxboro late in the game for the go ahead TD until backup AJ Feeley was intercepted in the end zone.

Considering that the Eagles, with AJ Feeley at QB almost beat the Patriots during their "perfect" season I wouldn't say that anything is impossible. But I'd say that its highly unlikely that the Eagles will win the game, or even keep it close. Look for a Patriots blowout.
