BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Two days after trading Brodrick Bunkley to Cleveland for a 2012 fifth-round pick, the Eagles had to find another destination for the defensive tackle after he failed to report to Browns camp.

Bunkley, instead, was dealt to Denver for a 2013 undisclosed pick, according to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. The Browns trade never officially went through, Roseman said.

The Eagles' 2006 No. 1 pick, Bunkley was a no-show at camp and when reporters in Cleveland asked Browns general manager Tom Heckert where he was, Heckert, "Ask Philadelphia."

"I think that [Bunkley] enjoyed it a lot here and, I think, part of the reason was this all shocked him," Roseman said. "He's a first-round pick, I think he thought he'd be here for his whole career. I think he likes kind of the energy that's going on around here and he wanted to be a part of it."

Heckert was with the Eagles from 2001-2010, acting at the GM his last few years.
