Bradley cleared to practice

Eagles linebacker Stewart Bradley told the team's Web site today that doctors have cleared him to practice for this weekend's minicamp.
"I'm coming along great, and in fact I was just cleared by the doctors to practice this weekend," said Bradley, who tore the ACL in his knee last summer during training camp and proceeded to miss the entire season. "I am really excited to get back on the field. I don't think I will have any limitations."
On Saturday, Eagles coach Andy Reid said that Bradley would like be able to participate in practices. The Eagles' starting middle linebacker will likely be held out of some team drills.
Reid also said that center Jamaal Jackson (knee) and defensive end Victor Abiamiri (knee) would be held out of minicamp, and that corneback Ellis Hobbs (neck), defensive back Marlin Jackson (knee) and tight end Cornelius Ingram (knee) would likely be limited.
The three-day mandatory, which will include five practices, begins Friday at 10 a.m. The Eagles expect every player to attend.

The Eagles claimed guard guard Shawn Murphy off waivers from Tampa Bay. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Murphy has played in only one NFL game in two seasons. The 27-year-old was a 4th round draft choice of the Dolphins in 2008. Murphy played college football at Utah State and is the son of former Phillies and Braves outfielder Dale Murphy.
The Eagles also announced the signings of three more undrafted rookie free agents: West Texas A&M running back Keithon Flemming (5-10, 208), Miami defensive end Eric Moncur (6-1, 237) and Arizona cornerback Devin Ross (5-10, 183).
Here's some more information on the three rookies from the Eagles:
Despite being sidelined for the first six games of the 2009 season due to a dislocated elbow, Flemming, a Mesquite, TX native, scored a team-high 16 TDs and averaged 134 all-purpose yards per game. He earned LSC South co-offensive back of the year honors. Over his career, he accounted for 4,008 all-purpose yards, including 12 100-yard rushing performances. He concluded his career sixth on the West Texas A&M career rushing chart, fifth on the receptions list and is second on the career scoring charts.
Moncur registered 110 tackles and eleven sacks in his career at Miami, posting a career-high and ranking second on the team with six sacks in 2007. He attended Carol City High School in Miami, FL, where he racked up 34 sacks in his final two seasons and earned SuperPrep All-America honors.
Ross garnered All-Pac 10 Conference honorable mention accolades as a senior in 2009 after recording 74 tackles, one interception and 11 pass deflections. He was a second-team All-Pac 10 selection as a junior in 2008 after recording a career-high three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. Ross earned first-team all-league as a senior defensive back at Rancho Cucamonga HS in Ontario, CA.

I like Bradley as a person and I hope he comes back but I was never impressed with him as I barely got excited about his best play which only happened late in thier 8-8 year when they were 5-8 and won three in a row to go 8-8. The was damaged goods and has already had an ACL in college, which is why he fell and of course Reid loves that and takes him. And what a surprise he blows it out again and screws up the D for a whole year. Now after 2 ACL's the odds he has another one goes up signifigantly. He wont be able to stay healthy long term. not likely.
Bradley is an outstanding LB who canplay either SAM or Mike, all 3 downs, he can blitz, cover and is as reliable a tackler as there is on this team, he made Gocong look good, he usually drew the toughest assignments in coverage at TE and RB. Y'all saw what happened when he was out. If another guy can play Mike, and play it well, that would allow him to move to SAM spot where he could be an all-pro. Either way he could be a pro bowler this year if he returns to form quickly.

- lonewolf10....I gues you forgot all those games where the oposing offense comes in and takes the whole first quarter to do down the field and score on the first drive, only to leave the offense to have to start in a 7 point whole. Just off the top of my head, 2008 NFC champ game! ARZ puts up 21 point IN THE FIRST QUARTER! I'm D-Mac is gone, maybe now the fans will realize that the defense has been this teams problem for the last oh....8 SEASONS! And YES, that is WITH JJ! Under Jimmy Johnson the 5 times the Eagles made it to the conference championship they finished 2,2,7,2,and 4 in fewest points allowed in the NFL. This is reason why the Eagles made it to the conference championship 5 times. McNabb had nothing to do with it.— VitoCorleone
- yea uh JJ's D over his 10 years or whatever finished about 2nd in the entire league in almost evey category inlcuing poiints allowed at 17.4 or something. better then 31 other teams. That D was beyond SB caliber but when you go up against a great team far in the playoffs and throw that Andy Reid offensive pass pass pass garbage at them, its not gonna win. without JJ's D they arent even in the playoffs. with McNabb injured and Feeey or Garcia in they still win a lot of games and still make the playoffs. McNabb was just along for the ride.
