OAKLAND -- Reaction from what can only be called a pitiful 13-9 loss to the Raiders:

ANDY REID:

"The Raiders out-coached us and they out-played us in every phase of the game. Hats off to them, they did a heck of a job and we didn't. And it hurts. We didn't do a better enough job and they did."

DONOVAN MCNABB:

"We weren't able to capitalize on the opportunities. Tip your hat off to them for the package they came up with, the scheme this week. We weren't able to answer the question and pick up the blitz. I think there were opportunities in the game that we didn't capitalize on, but I thought they took full advantage of those sacks and those penalties."

"I can speak for myself and should speak for everybody about the way we came out here and played. We are a much better football team. I've always said that for a young team that we have, that we have to take baby steps. There will be a point in time that we hit a wall and we didn't expect to hit the wall today. This is a learning experience and one that, for myself and as well as the veterans, we have to lead these younger guys to understand there will be times in the season that things don't go well but it can't be for four quarters."

BRIAN WESTBROOK;

"We are better than that. We didn't go out and execute our offense at all. We had a couple of drives that we weren't able to put the ball in the end zone. We are a lot better team than we played like today. We are a better team than three field goals and no touchdowns."

DESEAN JACKSON:

"It's a tough loss. It's definitely unacceptable. We felt like we were the better team and we didn't play like it today."

WINSTON JUSTICE:

"They did some stuff that they didn't show the last few games and we were surprised, but that is what practices are for. We will go back to the drawing board and get better for the rest of the year."

    The sky is falling, the sky is falling, the birds laid an egg. Big friggin hairy deal. It's one game and everybody else in the division lost today, too. Yes, yes fire everybody. Let's get Ray Rhodes back, he knew how to do it! Yeah right, AR is the best coach we've ever had, every one of you know it. As for Donovan, you're probably way too young to remember how Jaworski's accuracy was, you want to talk about nail biting...Geez, get over it and move on. The Skins await! If there is anything that can cure this team, it's playing Washington. Go birds! Me, like all of the other folks who will write comments on this blog, will be cheering for you next week. Love ya green.

    As bad as the Redskins are this year, they can still beat the pathetic chokers from Philly. The Redskins will be back to winning Super Bowls in time (as soon as Snyder and Cerrato are driven out of town), but the Eagles will never be back because they've never even been there before. Win or lose on Monday, the Skins still have 3 SB trophies and Philly has none....and its clear that NEITHER team is getting one this year. And as a Skins fan, I hope McNabb never retires.

    It's bad enough when all we've beaten are nobodies, but to just get SPANKED by those nobodies today was just painful. At least the Saints hung 48 on the Giants, too. The schedule gets tougher now, and I'm fearing ugliness.

    Philadelphia Chickens (Eagles) should have won this game, they were the better team, has better players, better coaches, more superstars, better owners, and still manage to lose this game. They (philadelphia Chickens) should stop eating breakfest, lunch, and dinner cause they are choking out there. Well, i'm looking forward to the Eagles winning the superbowl in 2099. Book it

    i love how mcnabb tried to blame this loss on the "young" players. like he had nothing to do with it. seriously, when was the last time this dude won a game in the last 2 mins? hes gotta go!

    Learning experience, huh? Last year McNabb learned OT rules. Now he learns how to count timeouts. How about some leadership instead of so much learning?
