No, just out and out stupid. The Falcons stole the guy. I don't care about freeing up money for Shady. This isn't about that. They gave away a Pro-bowl player for virtually nothing. Nice move by Reid.

They couldn't get him to restructure any AFC team? Chances are IF they make the playoffs they'll be seeing the Falcons with everything that's going on with the Saints.

only explanation i can come up with is bad blood. wish they'd sent him to the broncos instead though...doubt that denver offered much less than atlanta did. should've got at least a 4th or 5th round for him.

Relax, people, this was a very good move. Not only do the Eaglesd free up $10 m in salary, they got rid of a one dimensional slacker who pouted and dogged it when he thought he wasn't being appreciated. Samuel was not a team player, his style of play didn't fit in with the direction the Eagles wanted to go, I'd call him a self centered prima-donna if I thought I new hoew to spell prima-donna!

No, you give them too much credit because they held onto Asante too long, and wound up begging someone to take him off their hands. He was their best playmaker on defense. I agree with Gassydoc and Citysims.
