Andy Reid's endorsement of Michael Vick nearly identical to Monday's endorsement of Juan Castillo

Should Vick be worried about losing his starting job? (Ron Cortes/Staff Photographer)

What is Andy Reid’s next move?
Replacing Michael Vick with Nick Foles
Calling the offensive plays
Replacing the special teams coach
Trading for an offensive lineman

Andy Reid's endorsement of quarterback Michael Vick as his starting quarterback was just as strong as his Monday endorsement of Juan Castillo as his defensive coordinator. And we all saw that turned out.

Asked if Michael Vick will start against the Falcons, Reid sald: "As I sit here today, he's the starting quarterback."

On Monday, when he was asked if Castillo would still make the defensive playcalls, "that’s the way I’m looking at it as I stand right here.”

Reid said Tuesday that he's "looking at everything," an indication that Vick could still lose his job to Nick Foles. When Reid was told his answer about Vick could make fans believe he's considering a change, Reid understood.

"I'm just telling the truth," Reid said. "That's what I'm saying to you. Right now, Michael Vick is the starting quarterback."

Vick has 13 turnovers this season and has been the one of the main reasons why the Eagles offense is struggling. Reid started the Tuesday news conference announcing Castillo's dismissal by stating that "this one of of the moves." He said he'll continue to look at everything -- players, coaches, offense, defense special teams. The starting quarterback might be next.

"All I can tell you today is what I've got down today," Reid said, "and you can take it however you have to take it."

Great, another obsessed degenerate I got to deal with...well, it won't be the first...and unfortunately I don't think it will be the last. Anywho -

On October 1st, #The Pink Floyd writes - "I hear Vick has the underground market cornered on the under 10 kid fights. They steal kids from there parents yards and force them to fight in basements. Maybe that's why Mike sucks at football, he's finally found his next true passion, and his name is Lil Clubba Lang, a chubby 8 yr with a monster left hook. Overheard mike sayin he thinks he can make him a grand champion. Follow your dreams Mike."

Then on October 15th, #The Pink Floyd writes - "Michael Vick is a chump and i would be ashamed to stick up for him on a personal level. Dudes gonna be right back on the streets the second he gets canned from football, so i'll just wait till he gets busted for god knows what this time and then gloat."

And then on October 16th, #The Pink Floyd writes - "Learn to separate personal from professional!"

...you're getting easier with each comment. Keep 'em coming, October is almost over.

And hey The Pink Floyd! What low class comment will you come up with next to justify your hate of Michael Vick when he is the starting QB against the Falcons in less than 2 weeks? I'll be expecting another bigoted cop-out...

Vick is part of the problem for the offensive line. Kinda hard to pass protect when the QB is not where he's supposed to be and holds the ball too long. Vick holds it too long because he cannot progress thru his reads fast enough. Then when decides to throw he doesn't know how to look off a defender. He just stares at his intended target. And Vick needs to take off that one glove and stop trying to look like Michael Jackson.

Seriously, everyone talks about Vicks turnovers, his mistakes, his missed opportunities...etc.Consider this, and I think it's even more important.Vick cannot lead men.Vick cannot set any kind of example.Vick cannot "manage'other human beings(nor himself). For all the qualities of leadership required to be a championship QB vICK has none of them.Yes,he's a good athlete(so is Dez Bryant)but he totally fits the mold of a "loser'.Vick and Bryant are two peas in a pod.

Bench Vick for the first half and see how Edwards and Foles do. Manage the game and don't lose it would be a nice start. 2 main problems seem to be poor play calling and poor pocket movement. Sure the line could be better but almost all QB's are under constant pressure. The play calling helps take some of the pressure off if done right and that has not been happening here so fire Marty now! Vick needs to watch other QB film to remind him how to properly get rid of the ball and how to move in the pocket. Vick should sit for at least a half so it sinks in. He is horrible in the pocket as holds the ball too long and takes of instead of moving within the pocket. If he can't fix that then trade him or bench him

Mike Vick ain't getting any younger, he appears to have lost a step. Can Reid ever really count on Vick to permanently eliminate the STUPID turnovers? Can Reid ever really count on Vick to stay injury free? Can he count on him to make the right decisions both on and off the field? Is it likely that Vick will improve with age? Is Vick even coachable? On and on. My bet is Reid is going to make the move very soon to Foles...Its a guaranteed win for Reid... if Foles succeeds then its a big benefit to Reid getting another year, if he fails Reid shuts up the angry fans and he can go back to Vick.

The Current Crop of Rookie Quarterbacks playing with any degree of success all have vastly better Offensive Lines protecting them than does Vick, or Foles would have. Changing QBs at this point signals throwing in the towel on the season. If there is a change, the logical choice to prevent loosing the locker room would be to go with Trent Edwards and not Foles. Foles I think has potential, but Foles has never seen NFL Blitz packages, and the competition in the Pac 10 is good, but it's not NFL Good across the board. If a team is going to seriously comitt to a Rookie Quarterback it would be best that the line has an Anchor to protect the investment. This myth about releasing the ball is delusional, the Eagles Offensive Line is so horrible no Quarterback is getting 2.5 Seconds behind these clowns for routes to develop down field. These guys can't even run block. Stop believing what the Philly writers post. The Eagles Offensive Line is a disgrace and can't pull the cart.

Hire McNabb to be the offensive coordinator! He knows the plays and he knows what helps the QB.

Another point, a rookie Quarterback means looses, and no chance at the playoffs. Ask the Phillies about fan support when there is no chance for post season activity in Philly. I can guarantee you Lurie has already considered a less than full Linc on Sunday afternoons.

Andy Reid has been doing the same thing for the last 2 decades. I don't even think opposing teams have to watch film or gameplan for the Eagles these days. That's how bad this team has become.

I can understand the logic of those who think that replacing a highly Mobil QB behind a makeshift line is a little crazy, BUT! Foles is a natural quick read QB, plus play extender, who seldom fumbles. I like Vick, but if anything, this coaching staff by trying to change Vick into the type of QB he is not has only made matters worse. Foles naturally fits the basic West Coast system. How he will actually do at this early stage of his development is anybody's guess. But just as something radical is being tried on defense, so too does it need to be tried on offense.

Dexter. Are you Mike Vick's agent or something? You seem like you got a lot to lose if Mike Vick gets the bench or the old heave ho.
