Eagles offensive lineman Shawn Andrews had successful surgery on his back, the team said today.

According to Robert Watkins, the surgeon that performed the surgery in Southern California, Andrews underwent "a two-level microscopic lumbar discectomy. ... The prognosis is very good that he will return to play after an appropriate rehabiliation program."

This is the second sugery Andrews has had on his back since last October. The two-time Pro Bowl guard was placed on injured reserve in September and has not played in a game since Game 2 of last season. He has been on the west coast for the last three months rehabbing but he had several setbacks. He was in Dallas on Monday for a second opinion, but he ended up having the surgery anyway.

I can't wait for the Andrews sisters comments for two reasons: 1 you think it's funny. 2 you know something about playing o line in the nfl. Reality is neither is true.
