DeSean Jackson was not happy with the categorization of comments he made to ESPN about his effort last season.
The Eagles wide receiver wrote on Twitter that the "Media love twisting my ... words up .. An they always wondering why I don't wanna talk 2 [them]. .. That ... is un - professional."
(And, no, Jackson's tweet was not twisted up here. Certain words were left out for the sake of certain eyes on this family-read Web site.)

Michael Vick isn't out of the woods just yet.
While an x-ray of his ribs following Monday night's preseason game against the Patriots came back negative, the Eagles quarterback will undergo an MRI and a CT scan this morning to see if there is damage other than a fracture.
"He got a good shot there," coach Andy Reid said of the hit that New England linebacker Jermaine Cunningham delivered to Vick's mid-section. "The precautionary measure is to see if it’s involving cartilage there.”

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Andy Reid uncharacteristically got into a verbal back and forth with one of his players when he jawed with Cullen Jenkins on the sideline during the second quarter of tonight's preseason game against the Patriots.
The argument was caught by ESPN cameras. Reid said something to Jenkins and the defensive tackle appeared to say something in return to his head coach. Defensive line coach Jim Washburn then stepped in between the two. Reid then yelled at Washburn.
The Eagles had just allowed the Patriots to score a touchdown after they went 80 yards in 13 plays. A Ryan Mallett 7-yard TD pass to tight end Alex Silvestro ended the drive.

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Michael Vick left tonight's preseason game against the Patriots after he was hit by Patriots linebacker Jermaine Cunningham.
He went to the locker room to have his ribs X-rayed, but the exam was negative, according to the Eagles. Vick has missed three games in each of the last two seasons because of rib injuries.
Vick played less than two series and was injured when he tried to throw a deep pass to wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Cunningham's helmet appeared to have hit Vick in the mid-section. Vick got up off the ground but was in obvious pain. He then took a knee.

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will reportedly not play in tonight's preseason game, an unfortunate turn for an Eagles defense looking for a stiff test after a lackluster performance in the preseason opener ten days ago.
Brady and a number of other New England starters will get the night off, according to a Boston Herald report. Brian Hoyer will start in Brady's place.
The Eagles are expected to play their starters on both sides of the ball into the third quarter. While the defense surrendered two long drives to the Steelers on Aug. 9, the offense played only six unproductive snaps. Tonight's game was billed as an opportunity for defensive coordinator Juan Castillo's unit and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick to erase sloppy efforts against Pittsburgh.
