Jason Avant will be introduced as one of the Eagles' starting wide receivers after DeSean Jackson was benched for missing most of a team meeting on Saturday.

Steve Smith, though, will take most of Jackson's snaps on the outside as Avant stays in the slot. Riley Cooper will be the fourth receiver when applicable.

As expected, guard Evan Mathis (turf toe) and safety Nate Allen (concussion) will not dress for today's game against the Cardinals. King Dunlap will start in place of Mathis at left guard and rookie Jaiquawn Jarrett will earn his first career start with Allen out.

Quarterback Mike Kafka, cornerback Curtis Marsh and defensive end Phillip Hunt make up the remainder of the Eagles' inactive list.

With Mathis out, rookie guard Julian Vandervelde dresses for the first time in his career. Also, defensive end Juqua Parker is active even though he was listed as questionable with a high ankle sprain. The Eagles have five ends active. Typically they carry four on their game day roster.
