Do you think the Eagles should extend DeSean Jackson's contract now?
Yes. He has earned it.
No. He's under contract. Time to report to camp.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- We may now know when DeSean Jackson will report to Eagles training camp.

After the CBA was ratified today the date in which players under contract must report or lose an accured year toward free agency is Aug. 9, according to profootballtalk.com.

The NFL pushed for that date while the NFLPA wanted it to be 23 days after the start of the new league year which was Thursday.

Jackson must report by Tuesday if he wants to be an unrestricted free agent next off-season. The Eagles wide receiver has three years of service and needs another to become a UFA. He has now missed seven practices because of a holdout in search of a new contract.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie reiterated today that his team does not renegotiate contracts with players that aren't in camp. The Eagles are believed to want to extend their Pro Bowl receiver.

Dogit , seriously? Let him try that and watch those millions shrink by next year. He can afford to dog it if he wants to get paid big bucks next season.

Those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it--Rosenhaus led Owens down the path of stupidity and now he's leading Desean down the same path--Owens career has never been the same since that incident with the Eagles.

"Justicek" said everything we're all thinking. GET IN CAMP and tell Rosenbonehead to shut up and get your deal done like a civil human being.

He should go to camp and refuse to do anything but run fly patterns and sideline patterns, where he can step out as soon as he touches the ball. No punt or kick returns. No routes over the middle. Etc....

DeSean, you are not winning the public relations war. I'm all for you getting a renegotiated contract, but you've got to get to camp! Season is around the corner. It's time for you to trust that the Eagles will do right by you.

Desean will be ok, it's the protection on the line that has me worried. Can we get a Guard and Tackle who can dominate the man in front of him?

The execution of the point Desaen is trying to make is poor, but he's got a legimate gripe: he's grossly underpaid.
