Penn State football fans can only hope that Sharrif Floyd has a lousy trip to Columbus, Ohio this weekend.
That’s because the George Washington High senior defensive tackle will be there on an official visit to Ohio State. The five-star recruit will attend tomorrow’s homecoming game against Minnesota.
The 6-foot-2, 311-pounder has a visit planned for North Carolina on Nov. 6. Floyd has already visited Florida and Southern California.
In addition to those four colleges, he is considering Penn State, South Carolina, Boston College, Michigan, Miami, Rutgers and West Virginia.
Floyd is regarded as the nation’s 37th-ranked prospect in the Class of 2010, according to Scout.com.
