Everyone of those people should be ashamed of themselves. I guess they were treated to dinner and cruses on OPM.

Read this list of losers. Remember them at election time, especially DiCiccio, he dropped the ball on the casinos, first he does nothing, then when he sees that maybe it isn't popular he's against it, then the tide turns and it looks like the casinos are a done deal, now he's for them.....typical politician. Who cares if Fumo has friends and family, we all have friends and family, but only the chosen few steal from them!!!

The rogues's gallery of letter-writers makes me sick. Among the worst are Gov. Rendell, the Teflon man. When will voters wake up and throw out this supporter of the worst crooks and Mafioso? Sylvester Johnson--no wonder Philly is a crime-infested sewer, with a police commissioner who likes crooks. Sandra Shultz Newman--a judge, for heaven's sake, who loves convicted crooks. Impeach her and Rendell!

So I guess this is the list of people who will be taken care of by the minions of the piece of scum Fumo. If we had any balls left, there would be a rebellion going on right now. We've been had.

I can only agree with the above comments and suggest that in addition to e-mailing these "clowns" we must also snail-mail the ones who have provided a return address. Do they not understand the difference between a show of personal support for a friend, and a request that a criminal sentence be somehow mitigated because of that personal friendship. The Democratic politicians on this list make me feel ashamed to have been a life long Philadelphia Democrat. The rest make me feel ashamed just to be a Philadelphian.

Actually, I believe the Inquirer should have their asses sued by these folks for printing their home addresses; I also believe they violated HIPPA laws by printing what is clearly a confidential letter from his shrink. And before you people go ballistic, this has nothing to do with the fact that Fumo, as a convicted felon, should see jail time.

NERO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA. He leads a group known as the "philly pops" --- it's like calling the captain of a little league team the coach of the Phillies.

The Philly Pops is an internationally recognized arts organization. Don't let your hatred for Fumo cripple your brain.

They all take care of each other. The citizens of this town mean nothing. Even the ex Police Commish write a letter for a criminal. I just sick of everybody.

About Inquirer Breaking News
Live from the courtroom, the Inquirer is blogging the federal corruption trial of State Sen. Vincent J. Fumo and his longtime friend and associate Ruth Arnao.

Highlights of testimony, rulings and the courtroom scene will be posted here regularly. Fumo, a Democratic state senator since 1978, is accused in a 139-count indictment of conspiring to defraud the Senate, a South Philadelphia nonprofit, and the Independence Seaport Museum; obstruction of justice; and tax violations. The fraudulent activity totaled $3.5 million, prosecutors allege.

More information and background on the Fumo trial.
