These are the first batch of letters written in support of former state Sen. Vincent J. Fumo, presented to the judge before sentencing. Prosecutors had hoped for a sentence of 15 years; instead, the judge sentenced Fumo to 55 months.

Joey Vento? How does this guy have any influence? He is a guy that makes cheesesteaks and doesn't like foreigners. My goodness what has happened to this world.

Let's see, how does this work? Joey Vento is the biggest flagwaver and police supporter out there, and he also supports and stands by someone who breaks the law, not only breaks the law, but breaks the public trust....I don't think Vento really knows the difference how crimes like Fumo done really affect society. When these politicans do these crimes, then not have to pay for it, it destroys any desire for decent people to be involved with politics since it is seen as nothiung but back scratchers....Joey, you make a nice steak sandwich and your place is cleaner then Geno's, don't make me change sandwich shops!

Great! Letters from fight promoters, steak shop owners, disgraced ex-mayors, and failed CEO's, and of course, Comcast...the company that makes you pay about $140 a month to watch television. What we need is a federal Grand Jury in this state. It's like Bob Dylan sang: "Steal a million and they make you a king".

...and let's not limit ourselves to e-mail responses. It's going to take more work, but snail-mail responses to those Fumo "supporters" who have provided a return address, should be sent too.

The number for the President's Comment Line is 1-202-456-1111. Drop a dime on "Vince the Prince"...ask for more charges to be brought. Send him to the worst Federal hell hole possible and then have the new trails there...NOT CORRUPT KILLADELPHIA! I bet that would make alot of "CHUMPTED" U.S. Attorneys happy :-) We can not let the corruption stand and call ourselves AMERICANs. Make a call...see if President Obama lives up to his hype. Then when Mr. OPM is looking at alot more years in the Federal Penn...he'll roll over on Rendell and all the other "Elected Thieves and Betrayors". The U.S. Attorney General should treat this like one big "RECO" case. 12 days for each of the 137 Federal Convictions! Ladies and Gentilmen...THE MOON, HOLDS IT'S NOISE WHEN IT PASSES OVER "KILLADELPHIA", BECAUSE IT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN OF CORRUPTION! Call the President's Comments Line...He's got to Stop this Corruption!

Fumo was not being sentenced for the supposed good he did. He should have been sentenced on the facts of the case. I guess if you have enough high powered people write letters for you, that you can beat the system.
