Oh, here we go, "Unusual challenges, coming out of a background of poverty and raising children as a signle mother...." Could somebody tell the judge that poverty, single mother are pretty much the norm in any inner city neighborhood!" Who cares already, she's got a good story? Let's make her a Supreme Court Judge!

It appears from the Judge's demeanor/arguments already this morning that she will receive a very light sentence, just as Fumo did. I would bet she gets probation....

since fumo got 4.5 years she will probably a slap on the wrist. but if she gets the judge that sentenced fumo then she will get nothing. we need to get rid of judges like the one that sentenced fumo. We need to get rid of judges like that becauuse they give bad names to the good judges. CORRUPTION NOW RULES IN PHILLY AND ALL POLITICIANS SHOULD COME HERE, BREAK THE LAWS AND PAY AWAY THERE CRIMES

"10:38 Craig R. McCoy: The judge says the public relied on an unreliable media.". there it is.. exactly what I've been saying.. the inky fed the people BS and it's hardly surprising they are mad at the sentence.. For anyone who knows the real story, the sentence was too high!

dSmith? The Real Story? Fumo was found guilty on 137 counts, what else do you need to know? If you were found guilty of 137 counts of littering, or 137 counts of spitting on the sidewalk, you would get more then 55 months!

on second thought, luck her up with Madea and make her watch Tyler Perry movies all day. She'd beg for the chair after a week.
About Inquirer Breaking News
Live from the courtroom, the Inquirer is blogging the federal corruption trial of State Sen. Vincent J. Fumo and his longtime friend and associate Ruth Arnao.

Highlights of testimony, rulings and the courtroom scene will be posted here regularly. Fumo, a Democratic state senator since 1978, is accused in a 139-count indictment of conspiring to defraud the Senate, a South Philadelphia nonprofit, and the Independence Seaport Museum; obstruction of justice; and tax violations. The fraudulent activity totaled $3.5 million, prosecutors allege.
