Moz vs Maggie

Rocker trashes the late Prime Minister

Moz vs Maggie

I would have been at the Tower last Saturday to hear Morrissey, had illness not forced the onetime Smiths frontman to cancel.

But I'm especially grateful for my $85 (!) refund after reading the screed "Moz" unleashed to mark the death of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, the politician to whom he and a bunch of other Brit rockers owe at least some of their hits, if not their careers.

"Thatcher was a terror without an atom of humanity," Morrissey opined in a written tantrum that is pretty much downhill from there.

Give the drama queen/animal rights vigilante his due: Moz is nothing if not consistently grandiose.

Earlier this year, he cancelled an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel after taking umbrage that those "Duck Dynasty" heathens were also booked for the show.
