Angels on the Atlantic is based on a nice little idea: welcome disadvantaged kids from Philly and Camden for a day at the beach in Ocean City. What's going on under the surface isn't so nice.
The city is accusing the non-profit of being a scofflaw.
The non-profit is accusing the city of being racist.
The neighbors are accusing the non-profit of being unneighborly.
Today's metro column predicts summer storms.

My wife was alone in Ocean City yesterday. She came home very rattled by two different incidents involving two different male drivers. One blasted her for parking in a handi-cap spot, when he didn't notice she is handi-capped, and had her placard on the visor. The other pulled alongside her, because she wasn't in the proper turn lane. He was right, but there wasn't another car around. Why would two senior men, one who claimed to be a disabled vet, scream at a woman 65 years old simply behind the wheel of a car? Ocean City is not a nice place, and if I had been there, there would have been news to report. If I ever see you two guy's over in O.City, you better be in shape. You are going to have more than frustration bothering you.
Maybe the wife should leave the driving to you.
Maybe Ocean City would be a nicer place if they had a bar in town?
