Government Committee to vote legislative reduction proposal.

WHO: Pennsylvania House State Government Committee Majority Chairman Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will hold a voting meeting on legislation to reduce the size of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

WHAT: House Bill 153, sponsored by Speaker of the House Sam Smith (R-Jefferson), would reduce the number of legislators in the House from 203 to 153.

This legislation must be passed during two consecutive legislative sessions and then placed on the ballot as a referendum question for voters.

WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 24
