Ding dong

People want to believe Osama is alive.

"Osama is alive. No photos, no burial? Who are they fooling?"

Not this lady named Ramilla, who's among those posting today on Facebook's fabulous "Osama Bin Laden NOT DEAD" page.

A testament to the power of algorithms – particularly those that sustain conspiracy theories in the human brain – the page is NOT ALONE.

At least a dozen more, all titled with variations on the Osama Lives! theme/meme, are up there.

Or out there.

Wherever, whatever…like a zombie, "Osama is Alive" will not die.

No matter how many photos/videos/tweets of the U.S. raid on his once-mighty Fortress of Solitude in Abbottabad go viral.

No matter if a death certificate notarized by God circulates around the globe so that everyone can authenticate it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Consider: On Andrew Breitbart's "Big Peace" site Tuesday, J. Michael Waller wrote of a supposed national yearning to view Osama's body.

But even if this ghoulish show-and-tell was onstage at the Susquehanna Center at this very moment, I'd take a pass.

I'll also give a pass to folks who apparently prefer to live in a world where the witch is NOT DEAD.

They're welcome to it.
