Missed Linqs

This could be the beginning of a beautiful Friday tradition: a list of links we missed this week.

Sly Stallone, stud of the AARP. From the Rocky blog.

That Joel Stein column in the Los Angeles Times in which he concedes he is not really down with our men and women in Iraq.

You loved Topgun. You Loved Brokeback Mountain. You'll Love Them Together. A trailer for Topgun 2; Brokeback Squadron.

Tree-huggers plan protest of The Inquirer and Daily News after reports that the company is willing to euthanize some of its plants to save money. Made up that part about the protests. But it's true about the plants. No longer will a watering service protect them from us. It's a paradox: cost cutting could help save the Daily News. But sacrifice a few plants so we can keep killing trees?

An entire site dedicated to ejecting Hardball's host Chris Matthews from the hectoring game. "An Open Letter to Chris Matthews" alleges right-wing bias, and thinks the Philly-bred talking head's likening anti-war types to Bin Laden is bad form.

The 101 Dumbest Moments in Business, 2005. From CNNMoney.com.

Mondo video of Eagles cheerleaders meeting Chef Joe Poon. The squad is going to Hong Kong. They say they hope to learn about the culture.

SpongeBob and Punk'd to go. iTunes adds video from MTV, MTV2, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.

The Arctic Monkeys are the new Arcade Fire, or Clap your Hands Say Yeah. Or something else.

One more time - video of that great Alexander Ovechkin, sliding, on-his-back, heading-for-the-boards goal.

Your Arctic Monkey link takes you to Poon. I'm going to guess you were going to link to the Wired article about them from Monday.

Thanks, Enrico. Fixed it. I knew there was a reason I called it missed linqs.

The 101 Dumbest moments in business is a good read (I'm on ~30), and that Ovechkin goal... Incredible. Nothing like Fridays, huh?
