Insecurity

So when you're sharing a few files online using a peer-to-peer network, are you also sharing all your secret financial data? Some people are.

The Washington Post's computer security writer, Brian Krebs, does a little sifting through Limewire, and turns up some interesting data when he searches for "cookies" or "paypal:"

I quickly found what I was looking for, and then some: dozens of entries for tax and payroll records, medical records, bank statements, and what appeared to be company books.

Yikes.

good to know that the people handling the books to companies do NOT know how to check or uncheck a radio button specifying which folders to share on their computers.
