The wrong explanation for Clayton's tragedy

Once again, some see race as the reason

The wrong explanation for Clayton's tragedy

POSTED: Wednesday, October 24, 2012, 8:19 AM

As if the killing of Autumn Pasquale isn't horrible enough, some anonymous postings on this and other news sites insist that race is the reason for the 12-year-old Clayton, NJ girl's death.

Autumn was white. The two suspects are black. And for some people, this explains why she was strangled.

It's as foolish to judge public opinion by reading comments on websites as it is to judge people by race. So I won't go there.

I will say that in small-town Clayton on Tuesday, I saw blacks and whites united in their grief about the death of a fellow human being. This truth speaks more eloquently than handfuls of hateful words ever could.

Id like to address the author of this article that feels the need to cover for the "culture" It is the "culture of poor blacks in this country to have a lack of family structure and support to raise their children in a responsible fashion. These 2 kids were home and their mother (wheres the dad?) was not there to supervise them while they murdered this girl. It is this culture that has grown above all efforts of equality over the last 4 decades. The middle class blacks just roll their eyes because they know that they are looked upon for what is now the majority of their culture. Im sick of hearing racism when this is addressed. It reality. Poor black families do not raise responsible adults. Call me whatever you want but my life experiences have brought me to this conclusion. So please, write me an article on how im wrong.

Vlad, again WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE BLACK COMMUNITY? You are only going by what the news media presents. In my black community, we have a low crime rate, drug usage, educated white-collar, etc. How many Slavic(?) members live in the U.S.? I am not familiar with your community. I do, however respect all backgrounds unlike yourself. Refer to my initial question.

I know enough about black community, I've spent close to 20 years in Philly. I met blacks who are smarter than me and who are better people than me and I know them personally, not from the media. I do however see what media reports and I do see how this city and its surroundings are terrorized by , and let me qualify it, PART of black community.

They didn't do it because they are African-American; they did it because they are sociopaths.

Wrong. They did it because of the culture that they wear brought up in. Stop making excuses and saying that for some astronomical chance that two brothers are both sociopaths. They arent. They just have no structure in their lives and no responsibilty. Where was their mom on a saturday afternoon while they killed her and then swapped out her bike parts? The house was known for swapping parts and having parties. Its about parenting and the lack of it in poor black culture.

Black racism is fueled by liberals and Democrats. They always blame whites. NJ should vote out all liberals and Democrats.

To kill somenoe over bike parts is way beyond stupid as bike parts can be bought for $25-50 bucks. Bikes are not as expensive as Harley Davidsons or Cadillac Escalades. Those two nimwits will spend the rest of their life in maximum security prison.

In the Duke Lacrosse case, the Tawana Brawley case...and in Louisiana just a few days ago, these were cases of blacks being attacked or raped by evil whites. The National liberal press jumped all over these incidents , and condemned all whites before the facts were known. (The NY Times condemned the white Duke players outright.....as well as 88 Duke faculty...and even after the truth came out that it was all a lie, have to this day, not apologized to the players) As it turned out, all the black accusers were proven liars. But for the press, these stories fit the liberal template. Whites oppressing blacks. But when the reverse is true...and in this case, murder, the paper, instead of just reporting facts finds it necessary to insert itself now with this articleinto the situation, as a voice of "reason and caution" to defuse the situation.......a situation they helped create by whipping up hysteria against whites when they were charged ( and only charged due to lies!) It is the liberal hypocracy that they live by....and deny to our faces as though we are all stupid. If race isn't an issue, then why is it the FBI statistics ....cold hard facts.....show blacks, while only 12% of the population are responsible for about 80% of all crime?
And when it comes to violent crimes, like murder, rape etc...why is it so heavy out of balance, with the likelihood of black on white crime being about 100 times greater than white on black crime???? I'm not indicting an entire race here.....nor am I trying to whip up some kind of emotional fury, but I am saying that you can't just sweep race under the rug when such realities exist, especially when liberal journalists crawl over themselves to trumpet the few cases of white on black crime......but when whites are slaughtered, it is "nothing to see here...move along". As you can see from these comments.....we are no longer buying what you are trying to sell to us.

Thank you. Well stated and formulted argument. Its not all of black culture. Its the poor black culture that is provided assitance in every possible way and instead of using it they abuse it. This lack of family structure is raising kids like these and white parents are acting on it. Protecting my kids from these types is one of my main priorities as a parent. All while trying to teach them to respect all. Its a balance thats hard to conduct when time after time I see these situations piled upon my own experiences growing up in Sicklerville. Theres a serious lack op caring in poor black culture. These kids raise themselves while their angry parent collects their check and parties. BTW this house was known for its parties.

Two generations ago, if a young white girl were approached by a black teen and "invited" into the house, she would have pedaled home in overdrive. The idealized programming of MTV leads young minds to regard urban culture as cool, caring, sexy, and safe - absent the misogyny, crime, and violence of the "keeping it real" culture. Parents should not raise little racists, but they need to start teaching adolescents (especially girls) that different cultures come with different norms and values - be smart, be safe!

Nothing more enjoyable than a bunch of liberal writers telling us what to think. And you wonder why I stopped receiving this rag?

Your blurb stinks. No one benefits from another excuse. Communities must take responsibility for their repeated murderous acts.
