St. Patrick's Day parade to shut down Center City streets

Some streets in Center City will be shut down this weekend due to the St. Patrick's Day parade.

Police said motorists should plan for the following streets closures Sunday:

  1. John F. Kennedy Boulevard between 16th Street and the Schuylkill, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  2. 16th Street between Market Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, from noon to 3 p.m.

  3. Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 16th Street and Eakins Oval, from noon to 4 p.m.

The event is scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m.

Drivers should expect delays in the area, police said.
