Where did he go wrong? A slime back ex Goldman Sach's corporate banker CEO that was "fixing" the problems by raising property taxes through the rough, raising fines and tolls to astronomical prices and installing cameras to ticket drivers that run a light. I wonder...where did he go wrong?

It's funny, liberals think that everyone agrees with their message of government control, higher taxes on the "rich", etc. If they lose an election, they think that it's because they haven't communicated their message effectively. On the contrary, when liberalism is not hidden but shown for what it really is, it is mostly rejected by the working population of society.

There is only one solution for property tax relief in NJ. It's school choice. Plain and simple. However, it won't happen because the teacher's unions want control. People are afraid that if we give the parents the ability to send their kids to private schools (like the Obamas do), then there won't be any money left for the great public educational schools that we have in NJ. This is simply not true. Providing vouchers for private schools will INCREASE the amount available (proportionately) to public schools because private schools education children at a much lower cost with higher results.

"where did he go wrong?" are you kidding me????? nothing he did was right!!! contrary to common left-wing belief, people actually want to keep their hard-earned money and do NOT want to be taxed back to the stone age!

As soon as the koolaid hangover wears off the drips in NJ will realize how they just got bent over again by the plunger sticking out of the GOP smoke machine. Only NJ could elect a mayor that was investigated for blackmail. Yes, people want to keep their tax money....not hand it over to corporations and rich people. Got the first part right at least.

Funny, I remember Bush's kids going to private school too. Hmmm, I guess the koolaid hangover hasn't worn off yet today.

How about raising taxes? You know the practice ... get more of the peoples money to spend on programs to promote yourself. Similar to "obama" paying for education for folks who are laid off. Hey guess what, politicians dont pay for a thing, WE who pay taxes pay. The question is and NJ has since answered, Do we trust them to spend out money? The answer in Jersey is NO!

You nailed it Lamanchad (12:07). It never occurs to the Democratic party that maybe, just maybe, the voters DO understand what the DP is all about and they simply disagree. When Democrats lose, they call the public stupid, uneducated, or misinformed. When they win, they cry out, "Yes, we DID!"

Corzine committed the most critical, yet common mistake, HE LIED. His initial campaign promised no new taxes and no increased taxes, but as soon as he took office, he told NJ taxpayers that he had to raise taxes. Then he raised sales taxes, tolls, alcohol taxes etc...Voters are sick of LIARS, but since he was a former Wall Street Executive, lying was second nature to him. Now all we need to do is elect a Republician Gov. for Pa. then the Governors from both states can work on reforming the DRPA, and getting rid of all those thieving patronage creeps that keep WASTING money collected from the public like it was their own. Let's clean the cockroaches from the DRPA administration offices and install some fiscal responsibility there.

@longshanks Yeah, I know Bush's kids went to private school. So did Cheney's and Biden's...The point is, you liberals are always complaining about rich people screwing the common man while living high on the hog. Here's an example of where the common man can have the same thing as a rich person, but the school union bosses won't let it happen because it will reduce their political clout. Educational freedom should be the right of every family.

corzine when wrong in two places: when obama was elected and when obama tried to put the country on a first class ticket to Leftsville. Bye Bye Corzine!
