Cleanup in aisle 4: Trucker sought as perv in Delco is nabbed in Ky.

A truck driver who shifted his own stick in the cereal aisle of a Delaware County grocery store then ejaculated on a female customer last month was arrested in Kentucky on Sunday, police said.

A truck driver who shifted his own stick in the cereal aisle of a Delaware County grocery store then ejaculated on a female customer last month was arrested in Kentucky on Sunday, police said.

Aston Township police said yesterday that Bobby Carter, 52, a convicted sex offender from Leitchfield, Ky., was caught on video on March 2 with his hand in his pocket as he followed a 39-year-old woman around the Giant supermarket on Concord Road.

The woman told police that as she left the cereal aisle, where there is no video surveillance, she felt something "hit her butt," according to the affidavit. When she touched her pants, they were wet with what she believed was semen, the affidavit said.

Police found that the man in the video had asked for directions at the grocery store to the International Container Line warehouse in Chester Township and that he was driving an orange-and-white tractor-trailer, the affidavit said.

Police compared driver logs at the warehouse and found that Carter had signed in and provided his driver's license. His identity was determined by comparing surveillance of him taken at the store with his previous arrest photos, police said.

On Sunday, after a short pursuit in West Point, Ky., police arrested Carter. He is awaiting extradition.

Carter is a registered sex offender in Florida, where he was convicted of sexual battery, police said. Aston Detective Joseph Nardone said Carter also has a history of indecent exposure.

The victim's pants were taken to a crime lab, where the substance on them was determined to be semen, Nardone said.

Nardone said it's "definitely possible" that this is not the first time Carter - who was wearing a NASCAR baseball cap and a Mozart T-shirt at the time of the assault - has committed such a crime.

After authorities bring Carter to Delaware County, he will be charged with indecent assault, stalking and disorderly conduct, police said.
