Longwood Gardens to put on a July 4th spectacular

The local horticultural showplace is putting on a patriotic show in honor of America’s favorite holiday.

On Wednesday, July 3, Longwood Gardens will host their Celebrate America spectacular. Fireworks & Fountains is a light and water show that dances to the star spangled tunes of John Philip Sousa, Irving Berlin and more.

There will also be a gourmet summer BBQ, a perk that gusts must buy separate tickets for.

This water and lights show is the first of many this summer. Longwood will also be putting on a show “Rocket Man: Music of Elton John” set to the music of the iconic pop star. The music of Dmitri Shostakovich will orchestrate a special edition of Festive Fireworks in late July and August.

For more information on these events, and to buy tickets, visit their site.
