Now in its ninth year, the DesignPhiladelphia Festival is one of the largest in the country and garners local, national, and international attention.

Participants create events, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, demonstrations, open studios and street-happenings across the city. The Festival, attended by thousands of design aficionados, celebrates the region's dynamic design community and shines a spotlight on Philadelphia as a hub of creativity and innovation.

DesignPhiladelphia have opened up registration for 2013. This year's theme is EXPERIENCEdesign.

This is your chance to show how design can be experiential, spark emotions, evoke strong memories and create lasting connections. Submitted events should allow Festival-goers to engage their senses. The idea is to create opportunities to see, touch, smell, hear or feel the design that surrounds us all.

This year the Festival will kick off with a cocktail party and benefit the evening of October 9th. Your events can be scheduled from Thursday, October 10th through Friday, October 18th.

Visit here to learn participation requirements and to download the 2013 Participation Guide–which includes event guidelines, participation levels and fees, as well as instructions on how to register your event.

Your deadline for participant entries is midnight, July 19th.
