The end
A crushing loss to the Cardinals.
The end

A crushing loss. An impossible loss.Another NFC Championship Game, gone.
The Eagles, torched early, came back. Down 24-6 at the half against the Arizona Cardinals, left seemingly for dead, they rallied and took a 25-24 lead with 10 minutes, 45 seconds left to play. Donovan McNabb threw for a million yards in the second half. They had done the unlikely.
And then the Cardinals drove down the field on them, again. They droves for 72 yards and the go-ahead touchdown, made the two-point conversion, and led by 32-25 with 2:53 left to play. The Eagles had one more shot, but couldn't make it happen. And now they are left with an incredible wound. They showed up late, took back the game, and then lost in the end. Crushing.
It is hard to find any perspective here. Maybe later. Right now, it is just stunning -- a great game but a great fall, the team's fourth loss in five conference title games and their third as a favorite.
Yes, crushing.

hold on to that WS trophy tight phillyfan. choke city. nice game plan. the cards punked you. period foxypg
The Eagles should have blitzed more at the start of the game. They dropped too many passes. McNabb missed some open receivers. Westbrook didn't do much. The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Demps has my vote for Most Stupid Penalty of the Year. Other than that, I'm just stunned that our team has now lost 4 conference championships. It looked like the Eagles' D had the wrong game plan in the first half. Another thing: What is Greg Lewis doing on the field in this game?? p-diddy

Please...stop this McNabb/Reid hating NOW! You haters had your say at 5-5-1. We weren't supposed to get this far. Nobody likes this feeling, but reading this 'haterade' just proves what everybody outside of the Delaware Valley believes about so-called Eagles fans. I'm in Orlando, and if some of you cynics could see the love that groups like Tampadelphia over in the Bay Area have for this organization...oh hell, why am I wasting my keystrokes trying to change feeble minds? Think and say what you will...#5 is my dude, Reid is OK with me, and this team will be back again. PS to the haters: if the Eagles and the upper management decisions are so bad, why not just find another team to support? I'm sure TO and the Cowgirls would love to have you rootin' for them out of market or wherever the hell you are. phillykid407
I just burned my eagles shirt and emailed the NFL and told them I am done. It is liberating.... rgreen72- blame whoever you want. but big players (like hamels and utley) make big plays in big games. for a decade, McNabb has failed to do that. Ditto Mr Reid. Moveon.org jb99

Blame Larry Fitzgerald and Kurt Warner for this which means look to the Eagles "D". Fitzgerald beats Brown once in single coverage for TD, then two more times- where the ###L was the adjustment. Kurt Warner looked like Tom Brady in the first half sitting back in the pocket all day to throw- where was the defense that beat Dallas, the Vikings and the Giants. Somebody put out the APB for that defense-where did that defense go in the first half? gbeagles27
Well...maybe all you Eagles fans can convince the Phillies to let you borrow the World Series Trophy to put in your Lombardi Trophy Case! Oh, Wait... BigBlueFanMaine
That's one more week of football than the Midgets had. Share that beer with a Cowboys fan. p-diddy
terrible terrible loss....donovan should thrive elsewhere,,,,this franchise is definitely cursed Sammy II
I can and WILL blame McSlabb, Brian Fawkins, because he did not Lead -prove this statement otherwise! seph
I am sorry was Mcnabb on Defense when Fitzgerald caught 3 TDs in the first half. If the Defense showed up early this would have been a different game. Mcnabb brought them back and the D let the cards march down again to take the lead back for good. DD3185
hey bsbombo i didn't know she was married. dam! another sloppy seconds foxypg
