I watched every game of this past series and the guys on TBS weren't biased at all. They complimented the Phillies and Rockies equally and I think they did a good job. I'd rather have them than the morons McCarver and Buck. McCarver was an ex Phillie and he's been calling the playoffs since at least the early 90s. I remember him when the Phillies played the Braves in 1993 and he was the same crappy commentator then too. Was totally biased with the Braves and then did the same thing last year against anyone the Phillies were playing

At least we don't have ESPN's Jon Miller...I can't stand him and Joe Morgan is getting tired/old, too.

Philliekev04, I have to agree with you. They were even-handed. If only the next two rounds could be the same! Just in case, I hope the radio broadcast is in sync with TV so I can hear SF & LA. with the TV on mute.

Speaking of bad calls-did anyone notice the strike zone compared to the tracker thing on TV?

About Rich Hofmann
Rich Hofmann arrived at the Daily News in 1980 for a job whose status was officially designated as "full-time, temporary." A senior at Penn at the time, he was hired to fill in on the copy desk during a staff illness. The notion of him covering the Eagles or being a columnist did not exist in anyone's imagination. It was supposed to be six weeks and out, but he never left. It is only one of the reasons why so many people have concerns about him as a potential house guest. Rich has blogged the postseasons of the Flyers and Eagles. E-mail Rich at hofmanr@phillynews.com
